Born on 7 Nov., 1947 in a known business family at Ballabhgarh. Rtn. Ranjit K. Bhatia has been outstanding throughout his career with proven leadership abilities.
Rtn. Ranjit K. Bhatia started his Rotary career as a charter member of Rotary Club Panipat Midtown in 1988 and in the very next year became the President of the Club. He has held various important assignments in the club and the district ever since. Rtn. Ranjit Bhatia has been the recipient of the 'Outstanding President Award' and 'Outstanding GGR Award' in addition to various other laurels.
He has attended all the District Functions since joining Rotary and has also served as panelist as various District Functions.
Rtn. Ranjit Bhatia apart from being himself PAUL HARRIS FELLOW all his family members including his wife Mrs. Lalit Bhatia, both sons Rahul & Rohit Bhatia, daughter in law Kiran Bhatia & even Grand daughter Shivangi Bhatia are PAUL HARRIS FELLOW. He become Major Donor in 2000 and has widely traveled and attended Rotary Meetings in U.S.A., Australia & Europe.
Lalita & Ranjit had traveled to Nigeria as Team Leader during his tenure as District Governor with the Medical Team in the company of PRIP Rajendra K. Saboo.
During his tenure as District Governor he sent a cash relief amount of Rs. 38 lacs for Gujarat Earthquake relief Fund.
He has served Rotary International in various capacities including as a penalist at Delhi Rotary Institute in 2001, Chennai in 2002, Bombay in 2003 and also served as Rotary Foundation Chairman for the year 2003-06. He is engaged in his own export business under the style of M/s. Ind. Home Fashions since 1982. His unit has won certificates of merit. Silver medals from export promotion council and other business organizations all over the country. He is deeply involved in the various social activities of the own.
Happily married to a very supporting spouse Ann Lalita, also a Paul Harris fellow. Apart from actively involved in business, she is a caring mother and believes in silent association with religious and charitable organisations alongwith her husband. Both his sons Rohit and Rahul are actively involved in business. |
